Fairbridge (Inc) had requested the Rotary Club of Pinjarra assist them to replace a dilapidated bicycle storage shed used by students attending Fairbridge College.
After months of diligent fund raising efforts, the construction phase of building a new shed has begun.
Site preparation was completed by Fairbridge students under the supervision of their works manager Marty Rawlinson recently, and the concrete pad on which the shed will be erected was poured last Tuesday 28th of May.
The new facility will be 10 metres long by 7 metres wide, and with a wall height of 2.7 metres. Additionally, a roof-covered lean-to will be placed along one side of the building. Arrangements are in place for the shed to be powered and a water outlet to be installed.
The Rotary Club of Pinjarra, through the efforts of Rotarian Tom Quirk, has been delighted with the support that has come from Business, Government, and Rotary sources that has enabled this project to come to fruition.
Particular acknowledgement is made of the assistance provided by James Anderson of Anderson Sheds (Barragup).
