The Rotary Club of Pinjarra was delighted to present Awards for Vocational Excellence in three categories at their 18th January meeting.
The Club Vocational Director, Kiri Campbell said the Awards are presented to individuals in our community who have exemplified outstanding achievement while maintaining very high ethical standards within their
chosen profession.

The aims of the Award are to recognize Vocational Excellence of the highest order, and to honor outstanding contribution by individuals or small teams of individuals for significant advancement in their vocational field in the Shire of Murray. The Awards will inspire further enthusiasm and to give added reward to the exceptional achievers, and sets an example to others, particularly youth, of the need to strive for vocational excellence for the benefit of their discipline and to the community at large.

As well as the acknowledgement of each winner, the club has pledged to donate $100 towards a charity of their choice.

Vocational Service is the way Rotary fosters and supports the application of the ideal of service in the pursuit of all vocations.

Inherent in the Vocational Service ideal are:
  • Adherence to, and promotion of, the highest ethical standards in all occupations, including faithfulness and fidelity to employers, employees, and associates;
  • fair treatment of them and of competitors, the public, and all those with whom one has any business or professional relationships; and
  • the contribution of one's vocational talents to the problems and needs of society.
The Rotary Club of Pinjarra congratulates the Awardees.
It is anticipated that these will become annual awards, with public nominations being called for in October of each year.
